There are various nonprofits that help those with felonies get back on their feet and into society. Check in your area if such non profits exist
There is a non-profit organization called Prison Entrepreneurship Program which is described as "a Houston-based nonprofit organization that leverages the skills of senior business executives to constructively redirect these talents and equip inmates and former inmates with entrepreneurial training—enabling them to productively re-enter society."

Another example is Citizens United for Rehabilitation of Errants (CURE) http://www.curenational.org/new/index.html
There are also website such as Felon Resources whose goal is to help felons find meaningful jobs http://www.felonresources.com/

I suppose you want to pay for them susie? Because if people are not able to obtain jobs, that's what you'll be doing. *** backwards thinking. Jail is supposed to be a place to reform individuals, not punish them. But that's what jails have become. What about felons who did something silly like grow pot? Hmmm, oh no, couldn't give them a job, they are a horrible person for that! People like you make me sad to be an American. I wish there were more resources for people trying to make life better for themselves and their families and I wish there were less people on this Earth who are ignorant. And leave God out of your ignorant views.

I know Police officers who have had a second chance in life, they turned theirs lives around from a Criminal record, to the best Police ever. The ones who become the late bloomer in life, are the most successful in any career. They have been through so many things in life, right from wrong. My opinion is when a person goes through so many challenges in life, whether their good or bad, they have an advantage in life, to change themselves for the better, and being their choice rather it being Peer=pressure!
Good luck to you, and God bless you! You can do anything, to become successful, it will be another challenge for you, the only difference is... It's a positive one! :)

I wonder how all you self righteous would feel if the felony had been committed against your mother or your child?
Is this the part where you say, oh I would forgive them for what they had done? Some day, you ought to go sit in a court room an look at some of the prosecutors pictures. Yeah, so easy for you to forgive and forget. We are talking about FELONS here!!!!!!!!! Get a clue! Yep, I will be the first one to put the guy who raped two teenage girls and beat them nearly to death, in the cube RIGHT NEXT TO YOU!!!!!!There is a job! They deserve a second chance right? Don't forget to pick up Starbucks for them on your way in. You people live in lala land!! Do you not believe that there are, really are some bad people on this earth? There ARE some special people who do deserve a second chance, perhaps we should let the victims of the crime decide huh? You are too removed from reality. I do not want you making that choice. Only God, or the victim. You scare me more than the felon does!!!!

yes there are. all you need to do is call your local employment office and they can lead you in the right direction. And yes, people should be allowed a second chance in life! :)
