I am off sick it is now 6 months receiving only SSP for keeping an organization afloat 24/7 as all collegues and management were off sick. Couldn't leave vulnerable people with no support all area managers were aware I was on my own and did nothing to support me, finally collaspsed from exhaustion. according to the Union the big boss is shouting bad practise and I am laying a case for damages against the company, but how is one expected to survive financially on SSP, the company don't care that you are on strong medication, deflated of all your values and morals, keeping their business alive, and it's governemt funded!!! I was thinking of going public and letting people know what this National company actually do and making the governemt aware of the funding thats being abused, or not used correctly, as I am now having to face financial difficulties, due to illness they caused. It is always the victim that suffers the most and has the trauma never the high and mighty government funded.

I know how you feel as I was retired on medical grounds, but still 11 years later my pension is only ninety quid a month! I was a small cog in a very big wheel! I was driven to almost total breakdown so much so that my immediate boss let me come to Spain for six months fully paid! (where I now live) to save THE Government embarrassment! If I had told my story it would have cost the Home Secratery his job and could have, at that time brought the government down! I wish I bloody had!

You have always to put yourself first! If your not 101% happy with the aggression your lawyer is showing towards your previous employer dump them and get a B******d! If they then (previous employer) don't move at your speed offer your story to the Papers and tell them you are! Name Names, and get in their faces personal! Stop being a gentleman/lady and get the suckers! You wont win if you don't fight!

Push your lawyer to do some heavy case study and do some yourself! Start quoting precidents !

Sincere Good Luck!

unfortunately its the government funded that r the worst, cause no body sees it as their personal loss if all goes wrong.

i work at a school and the money that is wasted on sub standard work is breathtaking. ( £900 to clean the windows. mouldy fruit from a grocers charging double the price) i wonder how shocked the tax payer would b to know how the money was being spent.

best bet is probably to go to the press, but if you have a law suite they may not be able to report till its over.

cheer up stick it out, yes ssp is sh1t but maybe you could get some other kind of benefit to top it up.

the system needs people like you to say that its not on.

thinking of you.

Well for one thing, SSP was never intended to be a replacement for income..only a help. You sound like the "them against use" bunch. A am sorry for your satisfaction, but no one or nobody can guarantee you cradle to grave employment other than the communists...we call that salavery.
