I'm 15 and I'm starting a non-profit organization. I would be the director of the organization, and I have a friend to be in charge of marketing and another friend to be in charge of the finances. I was wondering what other positions would need to be filled in order for this organization to be a success.
Ps. The organization is run by teens for teens and we plan on doing a different fund raising event each month for a different cause.

I think it is a great idea to do fundraising for other non-profits, but it might not really be worth the effort to register as an organization yourselves. Especially since you are all teens. I am assuming (hoping) the three of you are planning to volunteer and not get paid? If that is the case, why not start with just doing the fundraisers first.

For example, start with an American Heart Association HeartWalk or Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. They have lots of tips on their websites for how to organize a team.

Filing as a non-profit is a huge lot of work that just may not be necessary right now. And neither really are titles or positions, although you can still have those. Maybe talk to someone at your school about making it an official student organization.

Good luck!
