Guys, I got offered a federal job yesterday from the HR person through phone and I accepted it.We talked for about 15 minutes regarding the details and stuff and she said she will send me email regarding the offer letter as well as regular mail for other documents which i have to fill out and send back.We had the conversation yesterday evening around 4:30. But I haven't received any email from the HR until now. Its 12 pm here. I got another phone call from another recruiter regarding a job offer. So now i am wondering, since i didn't get any official paper work, is my fed job confirmed? Can I just decline the other offer for the 2nd job??? I want to make sure before I screw up myself with the other job. I already cancelled another job interview i had today.Should I call the HR and ask her why she didnt sent the email or just wait for another day??? The 2nd recruiter wants me to call her back to discuss about the offer. What should I do??? Will it be rude if I call the HR person(from fed job) when she already offered the job and I accepted it? What will you guys do in this situation?

Make sure to review both job offers in writing and select the best one that meets your needs. I would definitely wait to have your DOE (entrance) and decline the other job offer. Remember, federal jobs takes time...especially with this budget cut....wait a little bit.

I would definitely schedule an interview if at all possible for the 2nd job offer. You can surely never have too many job offers. If you pass the interview, and have both jobs on hold thereafter, choose the one that best suits you.

No real damage is done to the companies involved, and you will be remembered well by the company you turned down IF you made a good impression, and sent them a professional "thank you for your time/consideration but something more suitable has come open..." letter.

It would be a GREAT idea to e-mail the first job offer (feds) and inquire as to why you had not heard anything. It is possible your e-mail was misaddressed and they are wondering why YOU have not responded!

I couldnt help yet notice this replaced into approximately reneging on a fed pastime furnish - its fairly perplexing to get a fed government place. opposition to artwork for the Feds is fierce - the pay may be decrease particularly fields, however the advantages and *pastime secure practices* rather lots destroy something the deepest sector can furnish. Ive been attempting to get in with the fed government for a jointly as now - and that i contract for them! in any case, I artwork in secure practices/investigations as a contractor for a federal business enterprise - and could inform you which you're able to have little or no concern, if in any respect, with the history examine. Being fired from a job isnt a disqualifier (it fairly is going to enhance eyebrows provided that it replaced into through unethical habit on your area, stealing, mendacity, etc) and nor is dashing tickets. Youd be shocked the backgrounds of people who artwork for our particular business enterprise - we furnish clearances to those people who, as a collective total, have accomplished almost each thing you could likely think of of, wanting homicide. some site visitors violations is not any longer often what the feds provide a crap approximately as long as you in simple terms state it upfront
